Thanks for the link, Ken. So it's a Ken Kidder. It's a very nice looking little unit. Those motors run fine with basic maintenance, though it's probably on the speedy side.

Yes Virginian, there is a Santa Claus!
The Virginian! Will be away for the next LOTW so I'll post here my Bachmann Spectrum EL-C Rectifier of the Richest Little Railroad in the World. This Christmas delight from my Gran and my cousin joins my small but cherished gang of electric-electric model trains. Heavy and powerful, it could be real coal in these silver hoppers and #140 still wouldn't break a sweat.

Received a rare kind of electric, a Triang EM2 British Railways in blue.
The real ones were sold to Dutch Railways in 1968.

Hi Kenny. The paint is good and I will try to letter it as it is. I still need to do alot to the CNJ I4 camelback, the I5 waits for this also. The 2 will be lettered at the same time. Then i can get on to something else like the tunnel motor. frank

My electric engine I'm going to put here is a Mehano-made IHC H0 scale GG1 in 1970's Amtrak livery. I got it mint in the box with a few coaches for $40 at a train show last year. It's a very good runner, I must say.

How well do the non-Tyco GG1 handle standard curves (like Tyco curves)? I've always wanted one but worried they'd bind.

Just found this Black Mesa and Lake Powell unit for a nice price. It came without the pantograph but I have a spare that I can use for it.
I really like that Jouef model Frank.

Martin it seems that Triang put 2 different paint schemes on their EM2 electric motor. The only difference between them is the paint on them. frank

Most surely. I have been looking for a Triang R257. Hardly Ever show up. Also, Triang made a steeple cab electric, even more scarce.
