A had a pair at one time. traded them away. One red one green. Both by ROCO. They are aviable at alittle over $200 each. When I had test run one. I put power to a 3 foot section of flex track. I held the loco and applied power. It threw the track 6' away. Needless to say i never had a problum with one and they could pull. I had them for about 5 years. frank

one from india ken

"Sir Leslie Wilson" of the GIPR was one of the first electric locos to work in India. It was built in 1928 and was retired in 1974 as 'EF' class No.1-20027 The EF/1 class were later renamed class WCG1 and were all retired from service a few years ago. The locomotives better known as 'Crocodiles' were built at the Metroplitan Vickers works and their mechanical portions came from the SLM, Winterthur.

and this weird one from usa ken

If the standard for crocodilian electric locomotive includes snouts that pivot independently of the cab (adding to the reptilian nature of the beast), there is a North American candidate, the Illinois Terminal Class D freight motor

Hi Ken: That last one is nice. The IT. It doesn't look thet hard to make. Bowsre makes the IT trolleys that kinda match the center section. windows would have to be filled in and some replaced with louvers, and the two articulating ends fabricated. It is possiably a future project. frank

Nice Penn Line GG1's, Frank. I never knew they were shorter than scale until I bought one.
IHC did some GG1's in NH and GN too, plus NYC and I believe Milwaukee Road. The two guys from IHC say those fantasy schemes are the hottest sellers.

Ken The old penn-line GG1s were all die cast. later penn-line and varney had plastic drive castings made of plastic. The last up dated ones using Bowser repair parts were also all metal. varney drive.

hi this might clear it up,its a Atlas HO AEM-7 Electric Loco, from the year 2000,listed as 8585 amtrak acela, this i think refers to the livery rather than the loco,as these were used on the regional acela routes for a period, ken http://www.atlasrr.com/HOLoco/hoaem7new.htm /tyco/forum/uploaded/catfordken/20100819073037_Amtrak-nj-transit.jpg

Penn Line GG1 # 4917. This was built from a PL kit. It is the old original Penn Line with all metal castings in drive. You can see the screws that hold the sides on. if metal with no screws they are Bowser replacement parts. If plastic, cheep PL or varney.

That is one I would love to get my hands on as well.. I will eventually! My New Haven affliction runs deep. I even collect information on them.
About five-six years ago, on eBay I purchased 2 (over-Stuffed) full 2" binders full of NYNH&H Historical society drawings, track plans and documents dealing with specifics about various yards, stations, equipment specific details & roster information. I paid ~$100 for both binders inc shipping. About a year after that, I saw a single 1" binder of much of the same information (on a much smaller scale) listed correctly on eBay. It sold for ~$400 That listing had more detailed photos of the contents and a better description than the one I purchase, but about 1/4 the volume of information.
One binder is full of the meeting minutes and roster info as well as the previous owners own clipping from various mags on modeling specific equipment (FL9 & C-Liner) and such.
Here is an actual New Haven Electric engine I have: A EP-4 Brass Schrader Locomotive:

I also have a dozen or so Lionel E-33 electric NH locomotives in various states of condition. Most are in storage, maybe I will take a picture and post it of the couple I have sitting here.

Here are more of my New Haven electrics. I thought I had them all in storage:
American GK E60CP and E60CF:

Penn Line New Haven GG1: I do have one more complete one in perfect condition and un-assembled...in storage of course:

New Haven Rectifier: Turns out storage was in the garage and not in actual storage locker. I do have one more on display at my office:

This is an all diecast non-Penn Line or Varney GG1 I have laying around:
