...about the arrival of a new locomotive?

YouTube - Bachmann Spectrum SY Mikado 142 IS HERE!!!

I get excited too, but I don't think my voice has ever climbed three octaves. This is the funniest thing I've seen in a while.

If I got a brand new Vollmer Coal Conveyor (700.00 MSRP!) I might get as excited as that, but probably not a loco

Wow...I like getting new trains and all, but jeez. I'm surprised he didn't start screaming hysterically like a girl at a boy-band concert.

To paraphrase Dieter from Sprockets, he's all excited like a little giiirl...

I was more composed than this when I got a Big Boy at the age of 12.

But if you do embarrass yourself this badly when you get a new loco, don't tape it and post it on the interenet!

In the words of Harry Hartounian from "The Jerk"...

Oh dear! That is a worry. I was expecting something a bit more than an oval of track on plywood on the floor when he ran up those stairs with a nice new Spectrum loco.

Also when we're being asked to admire the detail via a dark and blurry picture. Quite funny though. Let's all be happy for him though. And wonder what he'd be like working in a hobby shop when new stock arrived.

By the way, are those SYs as hard to get as he makes out? As far as I know, I can still order them from the local Bachmann distributor here.

Bachmann has done at least two runs of them, so I don't think they're that hard to find. I bought mine at the LHS from the first run, and I promise I didn't sound like that.

I wouldn't post a video like this on internet either. First-- i wouldn't get that excited over an engine -- winning the lottery--YES-- but a train item No

And about the video itself, alot of high traffic vids on youtube are like that. Anyone ever seen Boxxy!?
