Found the caboose for my Golden Eagle.
Just a short story, I was on my way to a model train show in the early '80's when I stopped at a store with clearance items. They had cases of tyco Golden Eagles engines for $9.99 each.
If I had only known then...

Hello Alco Fan, some of my Tyco cabooses, (my red box CN) don't say Tyco on the bottom either. I will take a picture of each, with and without the Tyco name.

Maybe I should have picked up the two versions of the CB&Q and the others I didn't. I may take a ride over there tomorrow. They also had some boxed IHC buildings like the Ho Jos restaurant.

Here's the closest I've come to making a "Rock" Tyco caboose. It's the cabin off the Tyco Crane boom car mounted on a bobber chassis.

| I know which one you are talking about--While it may have been an inspiration to Tyco, of course it's not the same. The common factor is the 'streamlined' cupola. The Pennsy also had a streamlined caboose which looks a lot like Tyco's, except their cupola was centered. The Wabash/Ann Arbor also had a caboose with a streamlined cupola.

A: The PRR N8 is pretty much a dead ringer except for that! :D

I wish I could understand why Mantua did that. I think they first designed the tooling in the 50s.
