I bought a few things today at an annual spring train show. My luck wasn't quite as good as the last few shows, but I did pick up a few neat pieces. I'm not sure what I bought though...maybe you guys can help me.
First up is this streetlight. I bought 3 of them, all working...Tyco?
There wasn't too much in the way of passenger cars. Some Athearn heavyweights and a few bachmann cars...not much. I did find this cool streamliner...all metal I think and made from a kit. The box says "Grant Hobbycraft and Toy Limited" "Made in Canada". I've never heard of this company before...anyone have some info and possibly a date on this car?
This last piece is probably the coolest thing I bought. A light up train clock. It says "1974 John Terry". Any info on it?

Streetlight appears to be Tyco if it's a metal base with two small ears for nails, and a metal pole.

The street light is a Tyco "fluorescent". These were item #103 on the blister pack.

This my first all-metal passenger car and I love the way it looks. The fact that it is Canadian is cool too. The only problem with it though is that it's probably gonna be extremely hard to find more of them All I could find about Hobbycraft on the net was a floor diagram on Hoseeker. Ah well...I'll keep looking.

WHAT A CLOCK, Microbusss...
In 1984, the Burlington Northern had just absorbed the St. Louis San Francisco (FRISCO) Railroad.
It's an SD40-2 circulating second-hand... when turbo-chargers and SD40-2's were the new rage in power.
The SD40-2's are still quite alive because of their turbo-chargers.
Long Live Second-Generation Locomotives!
'kay, I'm finished.
John
I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out. "I love your catenary!" Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?
