Heys guys. I picked up this cool looking water tower today. On the base it says, "Made in Taiwan R. O. C." This doesn't mean anything to me. Anyone know who made it....or perhaps the question should be...who sold it in North America?
Also, the light bulb seems to be burnt out. Does anyone know how I would go about replacing it? The whole tower is glued together.

Sweet, I modified a damaged one some years back here...

Cheez, the bulb itself was a blinker so it may be hard to replace. There is a blinking LED that Radio Shack sells that might work for you.

| One option might be a christmas tree blinker bulb; if it won't fit inside, then wire it in series with a bulb that does. Of course then you could use an automotive flasher, which would at least be the right voltage (the christmas tree ones are like 4V if I remember right).

Most any electronic store will have these blinking lights. Even Michael's should have the lights, they would be sold in a set that would be used to decorate a minature Christmas tree, and blink with one or two AA batteries. But, if you don't want to have charged batteries, then have a connection from your powerpack to the lights that send no more than a few volts.
The next idea is to buy a F.R.E.D Freight Rear End Device or E.O.T.D. End Of Train Device and rig it up just the same.
Cheapo-Depot Hint: That said, for those of you who want a cheaper FRED or EOTD, get back to those Micheal's stores and buy the blinking light set... You would get around 20 little FRED's or EOTD's for the cost of one pack of AA batteries...
John
I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out. "I love your catenary!" Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?
