I am curious that if anyone had it to do over what gauge trains would you do versus what you are currently doing... reason, if I had a chance I think I would go much bigger that current HO...into G scale at this time and not try to make a city in the basement... but a nice run outside and back in like the garden ones...detailing would just be great due to the scale... just curious as to what anyone else might do...in fact I may just do that before the year is out...thinking about it...sell off all the HO and take the money into G...the fangged one...

I wouldn't have walked by all those 25 and 35 dollar Tyco red box sets (and earlier stuff) at the hundreds of train shows I attended back in the early 80s....if I had just set aside a couple of 20 dollar bills for the end of the show and picked up a set or two as I was leaving I would have a heck of a collection now....who knew ? I probably would've tried N scale, it looks like you could put as much action into a smaller space.
But like every other scale, it's more expensive than HO, so I'm not surprised with what I chose.
