Was it 1986 that the Tyco Bubble Yum train set was offered? I have one complete Bubble Yum set in it's original shipping box with all the paper work that come with it. Plus several of the Yum truck Trailers.

I have this set stored away but I found a photo that I had taken. We found this set a large flea market in Ohio in September of 06.

I wish people were selling stuff like that at the flea markets around here...
Ken, I'm laughing at the joke you made, but probably for the wrong reason!

That happens a lot with these sets for some reason. There's even a guy or two who's been seen several times selling them, even picturing the sets with truck(s) but burying the "truck not included in this listing" in the fine print. Someone like that was raked here a few years back.
At least in this person's case they might not know a truck was ever included. Or if they did know they're not being shady about it.
Those trucks must have gotten lost easily. Even the Tropicana's don't turn up in 1:2 proportion to match the included 62' reefers.

Yeah, I've seen some of those sets too offered on ebay with the trucks pictured, But I don't remember any fine print. The ones I seen where very easy to understand that they didn't come in the set with nothing hidden...
I can't deal with those sellers who rob people on shipping. Heck, I send Tyco cars for $2.50 & $3.00 using First Class Mail that runs at the same speed as Priority.. There's no reason to try to burn people. I would rather pay more for the item, and less on shipping.
AND, I don't know how that Railroad sign pic got on this page in my name. I went to delete it and there is no little can to click on. I did post it on another section of the forum..

Huh. I had no idea Tyco made a Bubble Yum set. Well, maybe that isn't too surprising considering that they've made food sets and whatnot for just about every food brand from Consolidated Foods at the time.Interesting set, though.

I only use priority mail on EBay. It is because it protects the seller. EBay requires a tracking number. First Class mail charges extra for that. Also $50 of insurance is included.
Sadly as a seller I have had a few cases were the customer claimed never to have received it. Since I sent it with an EBay approved method they handle the case for me and I keep my money and in EBay refunded the amount to the seller without charging me stating it was not the seller or buyers fault, but USPS. EBay took care of getting the insurance from USPS.
Sadly if you sell multiple items on EBay you will find that there are people that will inevitable claim they 'did not get it', 'not what they ordered', damaged etc. By following the EBay rules this protects the seller. Unfortunately it cost the buyer more in shipping. When I bid I just add the shipping cost in when I figure my max bid. That way if the seller over charges shipping they did not get it in the final bid.

Well, Jeff...I tried!! Here is the best pic I have handy of my Bubble yum trucks... I have at least 1 box car of the same.
Tkruger, I understand what you are saying about ebay shipping and I don't mind paying Priority mail for shipping. I do have a problem with those who charge 8 or 10 dollars to ship on piece of rolling stock.
