Hello All, I haven't posted a loco pic in a while, so I took my Tyco Booster II out of its comfy, red-box home, and let it breathe on the layout. In some ways, I like this better than the all-metal Mantuas, because of more detail, and the headlight.

Neat Mantua, Pat. I wonder if those lights were owner-installed--My older Mantuas just have painted-white 'lenses.' My Booster II still has the same Mantua-style motor as the older ones, and has good slow speed. I made sure the motor bearings and gears were lubed. Yes, Ken, the whole shell is plastic, with a metal weight in the boiler. The frame and motor are just like the oldies. Chris

it's not as fast as the younger ones but it runs nicely like in real cars i think keeping them as original as possible gives them value maybe just sentimental but value
do i have a point here...
think so
but tx for the info now i know who has mantua parts...

Mine's an AHM 0-6-0 found in the bottom of a freebie junk box. It's got some touches of paint that aren't original but it runs great.

A reunion:
"GN" Booster and "Zebrails" Lil-Six.

I scribed the raised surfaces...
I doubt I will attempt dcc'ing these.
John
I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out. "I love your catenary!" Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?

I've always liked the look of the booster II.
Pat, how did your Booster become an 0-4-4T? Who added the four wheel trailing truck?
