Nice SD40's catfordken! I like the other locos too. Here is a rolling shot of my Kato powered Athern RS-3's. These are the first engines I bought since my Tyco years. What a difference compared to the stuff I'm use too. Can motors with 8 wheel drive, and so quiet I've had them almost run into me while trying to align cars on a adjacent track. Offset road numbers too!

Hey you'll be lucky if there's a General Motors (EMD) at all by the end of 09. Especially the cars. Hard to say whether I tow more Chryslers or GM's.

Yeah, including us! A lot fewer cars on the road so even the towing business is slowing.

Hope to get some batteries for my digital camera next week and add some LotW stuff. Actually bought two brass pieces late last year, though I'm going to drastically pare down my collection in the next while!

The pride of my SD40-2 stable, no kidding. Like any Athearn dummy, it has its issues staying on the tracks---but---it looks like a million bucks on or off the rails.

No, kidding! Like it!
hey Ray, do you have any of those HI-F replacement motors for trade? I forget they were Pittmans wern;t they? Also I sending Dan money in the next couple of days, it's in my PP acc't now. Hopefully by month end I'll have cleared that and you'll be able to finish the Varney and have your Vandy tender! The economy just blows, it's even affecting towing! We've done 11 tows the whole month so far! Arrrgggghhhhhh!

I purchased this one a few years back for a few dollars. It did not run. Well, I finally got to tinkering last week and hacked up some spare power torques and here you can see the result:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4ITFP1AKbs
It runs pretty slow and smooth compared with my other power torques. I plan to use this one as a lease engine on my home RR.
