can anyone tell me if athearn do glazing units for these items,which i intend to make up,ken

I don't know about windows for Athearn's GP9...I'm sure somebody does or did probably make them at one time.
As for the F-unit, Athearn today offers windows in their RTR F-7A offerings. From looking at your Western Pacific example, I see it is missing its horns, headlight lens and needs windows...

Don't know the exact contents of this Athearn item, but it might be a one-item-got-it-all for you...

Though it may not work, Athearn does make a window set for the SD9 and that should/could work in a GP9 too...

That's a nice set of Western Pacific locos that I think Athearn did maybe in the 1990s as a combo together in one slightly longer than normal box.
Further help on the F-unit and a nice all-in-one kit is the old reliable Walthers F-unit Dress-Up Kit #933-822. This is 51-pieces and includes a clear plastic windshield, windows, port holes, pre-formed wire grab irons and two clear plastic headlight lens. Includes placement diagrams and was designed especially for Athearn's F-units. It sells for around $5.98.
Don't know what if any/all of those Athearn parts are/might be in-stock with Horizon Hobby. I am happy to check for you.
