I hit Toys R Us the other night, and found some new HO scale cars, more from Hotwheels. This time they released a new trio, a '67 Mustang fastback in 3 colors, a Honda Civic Si in 3 colors, and a '55 Chevy panel truck , seen so far only in blue. They come in the little cubes, they're $3.59, and pretty decent. I bought 2 mustangs and 5 of the panels ( I own a 1:1 '55 Chevy Suburban < with glass > project truck ). Not bad, I love those mid-late '50's panels and suburbans! Anyway, just thought I'd give you a heads-up if you're into HO automobiles.

| The guys on the 1/87 automobiles board don't like those - some of them are kinda toy-like. But they're supposed to be planning quite a large line of these cars, and I bought a couple of the first six that I liked. They're no worse than some of the terrible detailing on CMW and Woodland Scenics cars.

As long as you look at them in a custom rod sense---like something Chip Foose would put out---then most of them look pretty good. Just remember how often one sees a Foose running around, maybe have a hot rod show or something on the layout.
