got this in a deal,looks very ahm/rivarossi-ish,did a quick look at hoseeker and tonys sites,dates from the colour scheme after 54,from info i found on the toronto hamilton buffalo website ken
 ps white on roof is a sticker ripped the old trucks out and replaced with mantuas,looks better and works better ken

Hi Ken,
the paint scheme look somewhat handpainted to me. See paint spills next to the door and on the edge of black and yellow in the corners of this car.
The maker of this one is Mehanotehnika/Yugoslavia. But similar cars were made with nicer bogies trucks by Roco/Austria. The use of NEM-couplers also make me believe that this car comes from the Balkan and was originally made for european markets.
In my collection I have both versions, Roco and Mehanotehnika.

Martin's right about the Mehano heritage on your TH&B Double Door Wood 40' Box Car.
AHM once offered it...

It has also been offered by IHC and I believe Model Power. Model Power would be my guess on the TH&B example, as they've favored many Canadian paint schemes in their line over the years. It does appear to have had some paint help by a previous owner.
