have this lifelike car. its unusual to me that there is no brakewheel on it. but nothing seems to be broken away. Question is : was this car sold with brakewheel or not. maybe anyone has a picture of this car. many thanks for help - Erich

That's a common car sold by Life-Like, but I think the original tooling dates back to Varney. The real-life prototype is turn-of-century steam era and as such would have had the brakewheel above the roof, but I'm not sure if the Varney kit had it that way.

It would not have had a wheel. There's another arrangement that has a big ratchet lever for setting the brake. When you're not using it, it is hinged so the lever drops down next to the shaft. You can see the lever molded into the car body. Carpe Manana!
