I posted pics of these a couple of weeks ago. Forum member sbenny tells me their Japanese, made by Sakai?

Anyway, I was wondering, does anyone have any info on this company?

I searched the name on the internet and could not find anything, other than maybe a mention of them alongside the likes of Marx and Lionel for tinplate trains.

Lookin' for some info!

Oh, by the way, they almost fit onto regular HO track. They are pretty well the right size at least.

Wow...the scale fidelity and attention to detail is uncanny, you almost feel like you're right there trackside

...jes' kiddin'...

They are real cool pieces---especially the tank car---, I hope you find out more.

Yes they are detailed!

Santa Fe's famous "Pacemaker" paint scheme on the boxcar, and the doors even open!

Check out this item number on ebay: 260330787019. It is two cars by Sakai for O scale. You'll see why I am pretty sure those cars you show above are Sakai.

Today when I was at the hobby shop in Halifax, I found these three exact cars on a clearance rack.

Same paint, same style, and there were only three cars. The exact three I posted pictures of.

Weird...anyway the tag on the box said they were likely from the 1960's, and said they were indeed Japanese.

Price for the 3 was just $10.
