bought this as non runner for $23 including postage,paint applied by garden broom,but under the paint is a well detailed brass loco made in japan, any ideas of maker ken

 after stripping work to do but its brass

| The tender looks like it's mismatched, so you probably have two different locos there. From the detail, it looks to be a late 60s, early 70s release. Hope that helps the search, I'm sure Ray would be a big help here.

I think Shaygetz is right,I've never seen a Pacific with a slopeback tender before. It is pretty neat though,kinda like the RR put it in switcher service insted of scrapping it.

the loco reminds me of a baldwin i once saw,the rear pony trucks on loco are what make me think that ken

| after going over a tenshodo pacific and my loco they are very different items,on body and frame,so will still be gratefull for any info,this loco started life as a kit and was never painted before the red paint job,and most if not all tenshodos were factory painted and had closed gearboxes ken

It's true, an Espee Pacific wouldn't have a shifter slopeback tender. Nice loco, whoever made it.
Ken, just how many locos do you have? (I'll give you a few weeks to count. )

hi NickelPlate759,about 105 locos that run plus about 20/25 that are awaiting attention ken
 with a bit of luck i shall be adding this one a gem 2-8-0 consolidation
