I couldn't get the link to work either! But here's a link to the FRA's emergency order banning all electronic devices!
http://www.fra.dot.gov/downloads/PubAffairs/EmergencyOrder26.pdf
Budman... If electronic devices are banned, does that mean you won't have a company radio and won't have to listen to the dispatcher, talking hot box detectors, etc. anymore?

Why stop at Train's? Thousands more die from auto accidents. I see drivers on the phone everyday, each mile of road is full of them. Every time I see a car or truck do something strange or dangerous, the driver is on a cell phone. And it seems to be an automatic reaction to slow down 5-10 mph and swerve around while talking on a phone. I too sometimes use my cell while driving, but try to have short calls. When I first used a phone while driving I had trouble paying attention. Now I take better care when driving on the phone. I drive over 100 miles a day working and a 30min trip home and have been behind people on the phone for 30min or more. How can a phone call be more important than life? Remember the days of home phones? Last year here in OHIO laws were passed that state: If you are the cause of accident and it is proved a cell phone was in use, you are charged with Felony Aggravated Assult manditory. It hasn't helped. Maybe build Cell Roads. Then all the women, teenagers, and general stupid people can travel together and I can get to work on time safely Sorry to B*tch but there is a major problem with phones and driving. Both side's have their points and there is no easy fix. DON"T TAKE YOUR RIGHT TO DRIVE FOR GRANTED! it's not a privilege! When you are behind the wheel, you are responsible for others safety as well.

in my youth we had the best solution to making phone calls, pull into the rest station and use a public phone box,it cannot be that important to make a phone call or answer one whilst driving at the risk of others its just plain selfish to put everyones life at risk to chat, about nothing,my opinion and one i instill in my kids ken

Thank you Brian for posting this report!
How can a human being be so uncaring and forget the hundreds of people depending on him to be attentive at the controls of his train?
I'm at a loss for words! At least ones that can be used in this public venue!
