I have a 6 axle HO Pen. GG1 cab # 4173 that could do with new traction tires.
Anyone know a source??

You can get hair elastics from Walmart that fit perfectly. They're in white/beige packages of 100 and say "Goody" on them.

The ones Dacheez mentioned are probably the cheapest and do work as several members here have used them.

In the Walthers catalog---Calumet traction tires for diesels will fit Tyco as this is what i use. There are several posts on this under motive power also. All Tyco diesels use the same tration tire. Mantua powered alco 430's use a different thinner size tire.
