hi guys bought a repainted 2-6-2 pacific,the paint was everywhere, managed to clean the wheels shown but others feel like plastic?loco runs smoothly,is this a normal practice as they are not symetric ken

| The truck at the top of the photo is how they usually are built. I've never seen that extra metal wheel in the middle of the bottom before. Can't hurt though--may have been added for extra electrical pickup.

| Actually, on second look, it seems you have metal wheels on both rails...would normall cause a short unless trucks are insulated somehow.

| That's right. Just look where the axles press into the wheels to see if there's a plastic bushing. It would be rather unusual on a Mantua, but someone may have converted it.
