** Matt, I would say the layout is just started. That small 3 stall Kirbi Roundhouse wount fit any place. I was going to build a more quant older style engine facility. When I found out that the Heljan roundhouse would fit it made it that the small Kirbi did not have a place. Now I have to dig out my water and coal towers, and my sanding buildings. Maybe even my diesel maintance building. frank

Hello there : For some reason I have neglected this post. I Have other Streanliners That I can post coursity of Catford Ken. My next locomotive is seen in photos in this thread of both the real locomotive, and the a color photo of the Hornby Blue LNER original version, full skirt. This photo, mine, is of a later version model representing when British Railways took over LNER operations. It is Painted In the BR green. Also the lower side skirt is removed. This is how the BR ran this engine.* *Here is the Locomotive Mallard.

Good Mornin Ken Was that a loco that was renamed for Dwight later on during or after the war. Did it only come in BR green paint. I would have to change my green Mallet, unless I got another body or loco. I got to think of this after Christmass. For me it is a good thing to do. frank

Well here is a project. A Rivarossi Empire State Hudson, loco only I got at the Greenberg train show last weekend. I have a tender spare from a Drifuss Hudson. It will have to do for now. Finish is bad so it may have to be painted all black. I hope I will get it to run with what I have. frank

Well here is the Empire State with the spare Drifus tender. The hand painting on the locomotive is a problem that will lead to the engine being stripped of paint. Then a repainting will be done. Defiantly got to think this one out before painting. It just may get painted all black and be the "Midnight Express". frank

A friend of mine has a little newer version of the Empire State (Rivarossi with a can motor). One of the things I always liked about it was the sliver metallic look. You can get paint like that pretty easily. Though all black wouldn't look to shabby either.

Chris It is a possiability the Hudson will have a metalic finish. I dont know if the original had a stanless steel or a Aluminum finish. That is why black is easier. It still may not be black. frank

You got it Kenny. This Bowser drive does improve what this loco can do. This kit has a complete drive. The Plastic body sit on a entire new drive. Anyone who has a Penn Line Bowser steam engine knows how good there drives are. This is the same. All bowser replacement kit are not this good. Stay away from the GS4 kit. It is not the same. frank
