Here's my modified Bachmann F-9. I got it in a cheap trainset, about $50. It's actually served me really well, the whole set in fact. But the loco is a good one, that's for sure.
In case you were wondering, I put the horn-hooks on it. It came with EZ-Mate couplers, but honestly I hate ANY knuckle couplers. Too much hassle for better uncoupling.



It came with 8-wheel pick-up and drive outta the box. My upgrades are a makeshift Mars light, new air horn, weathered paint, an 8-pin DCC plug (still running DC though ), and I somehow squeezed two brass flywheels into it.
When I bought the set the chip in the Warbonnet logo was already there. I was a little disappointed by that.



The motor in it is surprisingly good, and the flywheels make it run smooth and slow, comparable to Athearn locos.

And I swear, it doesn't look that pink in real life.
