This is a custom painted Varney 36' hopper in PRR. It was painted back before a Varney would have been collectible.

Sweet...my Varney hopper, from a police evidence clearing spree. Apparently the box lot was part of some investigation that, when finished, an officer dropped it by our club. Being the only one interested in old trains, I took it home and fixed it up. My Sof76 C430 came from the same lot.
Note the end lettering, not a common practice on models 'til much later...
