Think it was Tony L. that mentioned recently how neat a TYCO Norfolk & Western Super630 would have been. Well, TYCO never did one...but I did one some years back. Didn't do anything to the model itself, just a quick coat of black and decals...
I also have a 1972 NW scheme Super630 somewhere in my collection. If I can locate it, I'll snap pics of it too.
Would like to see what other custom jobs others have done to TYCO items. Take some pics and share with us all, if you've got a neat custom TYCO loco.
[:0] Whoa... now THAT'S awesome. AWESOME! Like a big, boxy Death Star. [}:)]
Good on ya!
I haven't custom-painted a Tyco loco... not sure if I will. I certainly don't have any candidates lying around. But I DO have a Tyco boxcar that I custom-painted, so to speak. It's always on the layout. Always.

Then again, it is a TYCO Super630...maybe metalized flourescent Black would have been more correct. hmmm...flourescent black? Tony Cook HO-Scale Trains Resource http://ho-scaletrains.net

Nice work on the New Mexico Northern Alco. The AHM C628 looks great under the hi-nose Super630 shell. Tony Cook HO-Scale Trains Resource http://ho-scaletrains.net

The NMN will be gaining another Tyco C630 in the near future. However, this one has the cab and low nose from a C430. The C630 cab and high nose are being grafted to a C628 shell to produce a hi nosed C628 as used by N+W.
