I know Goingincirclez posted somethin about this a while back but I'm still confused. How do I replace couplers on one of the old tyco trucks (the ones that have the pins through them). If a coupler pocket on an engine with these couplers has been bent upwards, how would I fix this?

I was able to remove the lid by inserting a flat jeweler's screwdriver (one almost as wide as the opening) and prying the lid up, as someone else suggested. It was actually quite easy.
The metal seems soft enough to me that if they were bent, you should be able to fix them with some small pliers and the like... go slowly so it doesn't just crack off.
The pins are a catch, though. You'd need to be careful to not lose them, and have a small enough jeweler's screwdriver with which to peen the tips over so they stay in place once again.

Ya I figured out how to fix the bent pocket and get the rear coupler on, but I can't get the front coupler on. It's hard to get the tiny couplers into the tiny space. I can see what I'm doin but I can't get it to stay in place.
