While looking through a pile of old Model Railroader and Railroad Model Craftsman magazines yesterday, I noticed something of interest in an AHC-America's Hobby Center ad.

From December 1970's RMC, AHC lists the TYCO Century 430 for like $12.95 or some such price and as I looked down the listing of available roadnames, I found "Great Northern" listed at the end! Ahhh, some clues on the age of the interesting GN C430. I will do some more looking and see if it turns up again.

Late 1970, would likely make it a possibly Red Box candidate, though it could have easily remained a stock item and found its way into a Brown Box too. Part of the endless fun of TYCO!
