Hello All--I'm very excited today, as I received a set I purchased on Ebay. I paid $69-not exactly a steal- but it is a totally unopened Mantua made in USA set, which includes a fantastic Great Northern Mikado with Vanderbilt tender. There is another layer of cars below what is seen in pic. It even comes with uncoupling ramps, and a bagged set of dummy switch stands, signal lights, and semaphores, and of course, track and transformer. I'll leave it all boxed for now, but that loco WILL make a test run today!

Hi, All--This came in today along with its coaches. Got it for a song because loco did not run. Took it apart to find wire to non-powered truck wasn't attached. Re-attached, cleaned, lubed, runs great! And, of course, in a Tyco world, who needs catenary?!

My new Super 630 briefly left its box for lubrication and a test run. The original grease was in the trucks, but once cleaned and re-lubed, the vintage 1976 loco was fired up, and put in a flawless performance! As "my railroad" has no engine shed, the shop forces keep the loco in a giant brown and white cardboard box!
