Hi every one!
Im in the mist of putting together a spirit of 76 set with DCC and all wheel drive. I bought this c424 in spirit of 76 colors assuming it was all wheel drive, it's not!
It has the all wheel drive motor but only the front two wheels on the front truck are driven! Not all four! The rear truck has a weight above it and no drive shaft gear. it has "made in Australia" on the bottom. dose anyone know were I would find the correct geared rear truck?
Thanks in advance!

Those Alco Century's were made for AHM by Roco, and that's the way they all were. I guess they chose not to power the rear truck as a cost savings. A geared truck can't be fit to the rear without significant modification of the frame.

Hi,

Please rename your image and use lowercase characters for the file extension. It will then upload correctly as an image to be displayed in the post.

Thanks

Check Feb 1985 MR for an article by Jim Six about detailing and adding a rear powered truck on the AHM C424.
