I picked one up in B+O off ebay. But i don't know if that was the original paint. I can not go back and check as it has already gone through the paint stripper!
Also, the Lima originally came with a "pancake" style motor powering the front truck. Later runs came with a metal frame, can motor, flies and all wheel drive+pick up. Not sure if that is the kind of variation you wanted.

Hey Ant-Man:
Only had the RRosi and I sold it to Ken (CFK). I want an LV actually so I can get rid of my Atlas-Chinese production versions. I can repower the RRosi vers and that should take care of the weak link in it, the motor...
Are you sure the unit was a RRosi/MRC/Lima?

Hi all,
my 1990 Lima catalog shows two more:
-Nickel Plate Road -Monon
but no Espee...
There was a B&O made in the 70´s with pancake motor, which is quite rare.

Romcat,
Yeah, I'm sure. It says "Lima Italy" on the bottom of the fuel tank. Keep in mind that Lima and Riv made 2 different models. MRC imported the Lima loco.
So that B+O loco ias "quite rare"? Too bad I messed it up so much! I stripped the paint and modified the shell to fit onto an Athearn GE-B chassis. Good thing I don't collect for dollar value!!

Hello again,
actually, Lima made two different models, the earlier version with pancake motor and pilots attached to the trucks (similar to Lionel 0-gauge), later an updated model, which we are now talking about. This model was later transferred to the Rivarossi range.
The following link shows these late Alcos:

I don´t know, if there were versions exclusively produced for MRC, I never saw it in SP-colors.
