Tyco 630 Alco with handmade handrails and Athearn stanchions. This is a great running PT and good pulling power.

Following up to last week's discussion:

Bachmann BQ23-7's. Released in the 1980's, only in the two roadnames shown. They're very nicely detailed for the day, and even hold up well to modern standards. Even has the correct Blomberg trucks (unusual for a new GE).
Unfortunately they came with the craptastic Kader drive. Fortunately, it's been said that the drive & chassis from their newer B23 is a direct swap.

Only 10 were made in real life and SCL had all of them. Give Bachmann some credit for the Chessie one though: SCL and Chessie both became part of CSX, and the C&O was the only Chessie road to roster GE units.

These models were pretty tough to find when I was chasing them a few years ago but they are not too expensive, usually.

Great looking old units G-I-C. I remember seeing the SCl unit in real life walking home from jr high school in 1985. It was lead unit on freight.
Alcofan--looks familiar?? GREAT JOB on those handrails[:D]

I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out. "I love your catenary!" Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?

Here´s my loco for this week. It´s a GP18

It´s made by Mehanotehnika in Yugoslavia. Actually it´s the same engine that AHM sold years ago. This is the ultra rare version lettered for Yugoslavian Railways.

"Yugoslovenske Zeleznice" is written on the sides, it was catalogued like this, so no repaint....
The real JZ did not operate any GP18 but some GM and Alco/MILW export models with lower (european) clearance.
Cheerio,
Martin

I guess you could call this the Phase V 630, but this is the ALCO 628 TYCO imported in the early 90's.
