Okay, I see no entries for "Car of The Week"

So, hmmm... it's basically Thursday and... uh..

Okay, this is my entry. I just bought it Tuesday.

It's a RivaRossi bobber caboose. I thought it was a TYCO/Mantua, but the framework plastic screams of RivaRossi.
Differences are quite easily seen. I shoulda taken a bottom pic' since the X2F coupler springs are a unique form.
Another difference is the lack of ladders. No holes to speak of.
Another difference is the weird thing between the two cupola windows. Looks to be some sort of heat-vent or something on that line.

here it izzzzzzz:

and now, something not completely different:

I dunno, really.

Well, now I've been here and done this.

Looking forward to other entries...

John/aka Zebrails

I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out.
"I love your catenary!"
Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?

Bobbers, eh?

Does scratchbuilt count? I made this one from shirt cardboard and other odds and ends this past fall.

This rebuild started out as a Play Art Bobber.

Those represent lights used by the conductor to communicate with the engine crew. They differed from road to road and went out with radio communications.

B-E-A-UTIFUL!

Great entries!

Thanks, y'all!
Thank's, Shagetz for the info of those things I didn't know for sure about. Yes, your "Car of the week" offering does count! Scratch-built or otherwise, get'em in!

MORE MORE! (it's still this week, through Saturday!
Afterwards, Sunday will begin a new week.

Multiple entries honoured but not necessary!

DaCheez, it may be ordinary, always lovely!

John

bob's your uncle?
p.s. I just downloaded my latest model train video: about 100 cars pulled by two (2) Athearn F-3(A+B) Genesis Demonstrators. I will leave the link as soon as it's all ready.

I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out.

Bobbers this week? This one can't deny its heritage--back from the days when "Tyco" was actually the name on steam engines and cabooses.

Let's keep thos Bobbers comin'... or what ever kind of four wheeled cabooses, crummies, waycars, what else were they called...

Okay, my 100plus train is here:------------>
directly to YouTube... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0I5GR0g66-c

Enjoy! hey, how do I enter videos on these pages? I've conquered adding pictures but want to add the video so you needn't go to YouTube directly.

John
p.s. if you're wondering where I got the funds to buy these things... all them newer demos, i.e. Shark Nose, SD-7, F-3's, U30B, well, I used my credit card. I made a phone call last night to the CC company... inquired... "At the rate of $55 per month my payment, how long would it take to pay it all off?" And she said: "About Six Years, but that's just paying off the interest... not the principal..." YIKES!

Later!

I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out.

totally awesum!
I am well pleased... but a little late in this response.

I almost forgot to include my other bobber previously in the forum...

Shaygetz... totally awesum!

Again, this is a little late. But, I want you all to know I appreciate your submissions.
