Here is a timely car for all those US railroads that are still doing the taxes!! Hope the IRS doesn't send one of these to collect your equipment as payment!!!!

It's an Athearn 40 ft boxcar that is custom painted by "Greenway Products". Their website is greenwayproducts.com . I picked it up on April 2nd, but my camera died. So I finally had to find out how to work my wife's camera!

Okay,
I eluded away the mystery red and gold car...

This is a MDC/RoundHouse I got at a swap meet in Kamloops last summer.

At first, I wasn't sure what language the non-English was... either French or Spanish...

Single set of railings on one end, full observation railings other end.

John
Perhaps I will add two other cars like this all together.

I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out.
"I love your catenary!"
Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?

This is a Life Like "Minneonapolis and St. Louis" boxcar. I bought it at a train show when I was 5. It was my first model train car. I still have the box for it, with the original price sticker, $5.00.

Shaygetz made me dig this out. I believe you do custom work if I remember correctly. Someone here did some real fancy railwork on a diesel or two. I stumbled upon this pair while looking for gulf tankers to obtain triple axle trucks for other triple domes I have. I love the ladder and railwork. Does anyone know if this was also probably custom made railwork or is there a place where you can purchase these pre-bent? Looking real closely at these now I'm leaning towards this was all custom work.

Wow... those look sooo much better with some added details. The ladders look like stock metal parts, possibly even leftovers from vintage Mantua kits of which I have a few. But the framerails do look custom although very well done! Combine those to Shaygetz' end platforms and you'd have an almost-believable model.

The ladders are definately someone's stock. They look like old Athearn ladder stock you can buy in long strips. The are flat and look pressed.

Here's my CotW...I've gone back American...for now. Every Brown-Boxer recognizes this, but as a Red-Boxer, I always viewed this as being almost an insult to my sensibilities. However, when I saw it recently, boxed, the simplicity, color scheme, and how it somehow represented virtually the end of the Tyco era, I viewed it differently.
