Hey Guys:
Just about my favourite RR place in the universe. There were a few of these in Brooklyn and the Bronx.

The other fave is the HSR, the Hoboken Shore, all od about 1 1/2 miles long and 10-12 miles of track! [:D] [:D] [:D]

Gareth, don't know if you're aware that the owner of Fast Tracks is modeling the CNJ Bronx Terminal. The trackwork is fantastic.

Yeah I know NP.
He's got the pic I posted from a book scanned to his site. I'm hoping to get back there this year with a camera and perhaps excavate a piece of track or spike or cobblestone. I have an original spike from the the NYC-Putnam Division.
There's also a LV Terminal and the Harlem Transfer as well.
He's up here in Ontario somewhere...

That is beyond awesome. So many possibilities... I'd love to see a race around the building... [:P]
The original design for Chicago's Clearing Yard (home of the BRC) was a loop system... part of this loop design actually exists, having been built before cooler heads prevailed, and is the dominant feature of the SW side near Midway airport; if you look at an aerial view you can see an area of about 8 square miles encircled by track.
