If you've never seen them, the Broadway Limited Imports HO-scale California Zephyr-prototype Budd streamliners probably are the best plastic RTR passenger cars ever made.

For 2007, BLI is modifying the cars to match their later service among Amtrak's fleet.

This modified body style should also make them correct or nearly so for Rio Grande Zephyr service. As a D&RGW fan, I hope BLI announces the cars ready for RGZ service in the near future.

Regarding the Broadway Limited in Rio Grande Zephyr: you're not alone in entertaining that hope. Their offerings are superb; got turned on to them by a CNW club in WI a few years back, motive-power wise, with the only "affordable" offerings in 400 route steam power. The Budd streamliners are just terrific, period.
