This is a Mantua 2-8-2 I have been working on.
The inspiration for this model was G&D #42.

Ooooooohhh... a feedwater heater and flying air pumps. [:P] Gotta love those GN steamers.

What kind of motor did you put in it?

I used a Mabuchi can motor with a scratch-built worm mount.

Hey Ray:

"I like MIKE!"

Can you add a list of the detail parts you added. I'm still learning about steam engines, what a waste of time! [:D] [:D] [:D] [:D] [:D]

Ah, the trusty old FK-130. I'm glad I got a package of 10 before All Electronics ran out.

Nice scratchbuilt gearbox.

Hi Ray,
Very nice Job, you are a true Craftsman !..... the Tyco Mantua Mikado is usually a smooth running engine as a factory set up but bet this is like silk ?....... has to pull well also ?.......
