Have one of those G--They however do not work great on Tyco trucks--But are great on Athearn/MDC-Roundhouse and others. A 5/16 drill bit works better to ream out tyco trucks for installation of metal wheel sets. The reason being it does not work that great is the rubber band to turn the tuner. You can use this tool--but you will have very sore fingers from turning and twisting tyco truck to get tool to work--Speaking from experience

Have you tried putting the truck tuning tool in,and rolling it on a flat surface? That might work instead of wearing your fingers out.

Ray--the problem with Tyco trucks is the talgo coulper box. The rubber ring that turns the reamer would get torn up as there is no clearance for it. You have to hold truck-push coupler box up-and ream at same time while pressing the side of truck against reamer for it to ream out the plastic. Basically how that tool works is you insert reamer and while pressing the sides firmly together and turning the reamer tool by the rubber ring to open truck journal hole. You then have to flip the tool to do the other side and repeat. It is really designed for non talgo coupler trucks. I have reamed out a few Tyco trucks with the coupler box and my fingers were very sore after about five from pushing the coupler box up and pressing sides and turning tool. Tyco's plastic is different than other manufacturer's plastic. Requires more pressure for tool to work than say reaming out a Athearn truck or MDC roundhouse of which i had only a couple of those to do for metal wheel installation as most metal wheels drop right into those trucks with ease. Still is a great tool to have. I purchased mine from Micro-Mark
