I bought a 4x6 layout and am trying to figure out the wiring.
The part that I have not been able to figure out involves three spurs with lighted bumpers at the end.
One the light is missing and the wiring works as expected, but the other two have a light bulb in them. The light does not come on and the rails show a 180 ohm load across them.
I don't understand how these are supposed to work. When my train enters that block, it comes to a halt.

Should I remove the light bulb?

I have no directions for this bumper and don't know for sure who makes it.

It sounds to me that those blocks are not getting power.
The 180 ohm load is the resistance across the light bulb. If you put power on that block, the bulb should light.
If those blocks aren't powered through toggle switches then they way have relied on power routing turnouts that may need cleaning.

I have done some more testing and I have concluded that one of the wires to the block must be broken at the rail. I will repair this and hope that it will work then.
