Wow... what a beautiful paint job. Is it done on just the one side?
Can't remember where I saw it but I have seen a B&W picture with one of those cars in real life. That Tyco pre-production sample is actually fairly close; much more so than the 50' boxcar and/or Center Flow.
For reference, this model by (I think) Walthers is pretty close to the real cars.

So I'll say it again: whoever painted that mock-up did a wonderful job!

Well TYCO didn't go ahead with a 40' wood reefer in Old Dutch, but it was also on Bachmann's mind and did get made by them...
