Hi Guys:
I wanted to find out if there was support for adding a companion section to the "LotW" to be called CotW (Car of the Week- as in freight or passenger car) which by the way you guys are not posting regularly to! We need input here especially from some of you new guys and the old ones as well.
Anyway I sent Todd (NYC) our group Admin a request about this but I'd like some feedback in "Loose Ends" if you are interested, and by that I mean would you also contribute not just eyeball!?

| I'd love to...I haven't done L of W only because I'm regrouping my household lately---holidaze, Mom's surgery and such---I have plenty of odd cars to show. Thanks for bringing it up.

YES....we should have a frt car/ pax car/ waycar/ mowcar/ of the week...even structure of the week...or scenery work of the week...something to keep us old (young)men busy....of course I'm into cabeese, so.....

| I'd like to see the additional topics. As soon as my wife receives the digital camera I'm getting her for Christmas, I'll be able to borrow it and start posting some pics! My tentative lineup for locos and cars includes My Chessie 4-6-2 Pacific, Spirit of '76 loco w/cars, and my set of Mantua aluminum passenger cars painted in the 'Golden State' scheme.

One thing at a time. The LotW section has been up for months and most here don't contribute anything to it, NADA. Too lazy I guess.
You'll see lots of "Viewers" but not a lot of contributing. Kinda like people who complain about the Government full time but who never actually do anything! [:D] I'm not talking feature length articles like GIC has done just a pic and story from your power roster weekly or monthly even!???
This place works best when people act as they do on the "Tyco not popular thread" where they respond. So while I like the idea which is why I put it forward, and wrote our erstwhile admin about it, I'm not sure it will be that busy. We'll see!

Hey Gareth. Car of the Week sounds like a cool idea. It seems like a good place to show off billboard cars, and cars that you've whethered. Wat about if you wanted to post a passenger car...would you pick just one car or take a pic of the full set?

Well if they were different cars I'd say different weeks, or set, you decide. Also the story of where you got it, how. Why that car... you get the idea...and thanks for chipping in. knew I could count on you.

We could do that but this allows more specificity. I for example will ocassionally post to the CotW section whereas I will alwas post to the LotW section because thats where my emphasis is.
