Ok, perhaps a easy question, but since I don't know... here goes. I was going through my Tyco boxes, and I came across one where I don't have the original car (well actually I have a few like that, but that's not the point). The box is labelled "Caboose - 40 Foot, Santa Fe, 328J". I thought all the cabeese were numbered 327. In fact I have a Santa Fe numbered 327J. Did they make cabooses that were 40 feet long? Would that be the extended vision caboose, or something else?
Thanks,
Scott

328 was indeed the Extended-Vision caboose (with center copula). This one was rather short-lived, but I am aware of it in Chattanooga and Chessie in addition to Santa Fe.
Perhaps one reason it didn't last long, is it is seriously oversized. Put it next to another wide-vision made by anyone else to see what I mean.
The tooling does survive and was reissued by IHC a few years ago.

| Thanks for the info. I was basing my question on the Tyco site that said the extended vision caboose was also numbered 327.
