It's an old book (about 30 years old in fact) but I have never seen one up close. They turn up on ebay from time to time, you should be able to get one for $10 or so. I've been curious to see it myself.

Ken--I purchased one earlier this year. The book is not bad for the time period printed-1979. This book covers tyco kit bashing projects-from locos to buildings-painting and lettering tyco rolling stock-wiring-. Lots of pictures in b&w + color

If you get the chance, I do recommend picking up this TYCO Model Railroad Manual.
