Here is my custom version of a christmas train. The train loco and cars are coated in a special Fine glitter and decorated with mini ornaments. I have to install the motor back in to the loco as i removed it to do the glitter coating. The loco was a former SF mantua drive. The gondola is by tyco-the boxcar is a evans 50 ft by life-like --flat car is a tyco former ATSF and caboose was a former SF maintenance work caboose by tyco. There is a christmas tree not pictured going on the caboose along with mini foil gifts. I am working on a christmas video with this train that will have real trains decked out for christmas also.

Too cool...it is that time of year, isn't it? Gotta start dusting off the trains and oiling them up... I've been amazed at how few Christmas trains there are out there. When I was growing up, it was very odd to me when I went to a house that didn't have at least a loop of O-27 Lionel running.

Brian, What a cool way to use Tycos as a canvas for creativity. I was getting in the mood for Christmas too, probably you started it. I got the paperback about the Sears toy dept, from the library, with all the train pages from '46 to ?. Found my original Tyco set. Christmas Train on dude! Looking foward to the video, let us know! I just got one of Brian's Christmas box cars in the mail and it really is a treat to see running around your layout. Pictures don't do it justice. It attracts all the attention. I haven't hooked it up to the Golden Eagle or the Silver Streak yet but I may have to get my shades on for prolonged model railfanning. Looking forward to seeing these in a train. Alco Fan
