Hey Fellas:
To be Tyco, or not to be Tyco that is the question? Is it stranger in the hearts of men that the ... oh forget it...

I had one just like it as a kid but was Penn Central green and silver, but same scheme with PC logo on the cab. Sure wish I could find another one like it.

If you look at the ladder area it is part of the shell. That was how the Tyco shells were. Also the sideframes look the same as the ones on my Plymouth centercabs. I have seen 3 different drives in the Tyco version of this loco. The 1st generation MU-2, 2nd generation MU-2 and the power Torque. I bet it is the 1st generation MU-2 Mantua/Tyco.

Ray:
Can you shoot a side by side of the MU-2 Plymouths?

If it helps any, I messaged the seller on ebay yesterday asking him if it had tyco stamped on the bottom. He told me the engine was unmarked.

I took some photos to help ID this loco. The first is a 1st generation MU-2 drive in a Plymouth center cab. I have seen a parts diagram of the MDT with this drive. This is the 2nd generation MU-2 drive in an MDT. This is the Power Torque drive in an MDT. (I drilled new holes to replace the original PT motor with a PT motor from a tender on this one)
This is a Lima, probably sold under the AHM name.
 This is an AHM(Yugo)
Anyone have any others that are different?
