Very informative. I never knew any HO manufacturers used ball bearings in their motors like that.

Rivarossi was the only one to use them regularly like this as far as I know. From the history I read, Rossi was kind of a perfectionist and wouldn't be satisfied in the earlier years until the motor performance was as consistent as possible, and he achieved that with the ball bearings.
