Two good men died so unnecessarily because a trucker screwed up. I wonder if he had a low boy that might have
got stuck on the railbed, but I don't know, it is merely speculation. I used to live in this town, and I don't
recall there being a elevation of the rails above the roadway, though.

We are all shocked and saddened by two young men cut down.

There's been a lot of talk, afterward, about the blue sign with the emergency phone number at all the railroad crossings. Had the people who hung up the truck known about it, the train crew would be alive, today. Hopefully, getting the word out will save lives at some future date.

What was the truck carrying? A concrete pipe? It looks like a very over-sized load, and that pick-up truck with the discos up front appears to be an escort vehicle.

it hit the depot too & I hope that isn't too badly damaged
