I am new to the hobby and I picked most of my stuff on Ebay and Marketplace. I need to know what is used to replace the rubber bands around the drive wheels on the tender. I can't seem to find anything online. I have a Chattanooga locomotive

Go with Calumets. They are durable and don't twist when applied. They provide excellent grip.
I've had nothing but bad luck with the highly overpriced Bull Frog Snot. It is hard to apply and comes off in short order.
I used to recommend Goody's Hair Bands for Tyco replacement tires, but found they wore out quickly and frequently twisted when applied, creating a rough spot.

Thanks for the reply. I have ordered some from Calumets. I tried orthodontist bands but they slip.

You'll like the Calumets. I'm just saying the Bullfrog Snot at $25 a bottle is a waste of money. Particularly on Tyco, the stuff shreds off after a few minutes.
Please send us a pic or two of what you're up to. We always enjoy seeing new stuff.
