Marine Corps Railroad-Style Barbecue Sauce

1 24-oz. bottle ketchup
3-4 tablespoons molasses
a couple of good shakes Tabasco sauce
2 tsp. apple cider vinegar
1 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. MSG (optional)
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
