Even animals of the wild like trains. There are 3 bear cubs that keep catching rides on CP freight trains. Spilled grain through the BC's Yoho National Park is what drew them to the trains. CP's mainline runs through this park. So far -- the bear cubs have caught rides twice. While photo is cute -- they are wild and still dangerous. CP worked with Parks Canada to safely return the cubs to their mother. This picture is from this months Trains magazine October issue. Reuters news reported that CP is going to spend over 20 million refurbishing grain cars to try to prevent bears, cubs and other wildlife from gettiing on cars to eat the spilled grain. Refurbishing is also to include reducing or eliminating amount of grain spilled. The cub in the photo was trapped when the train began moving and its mother jumped off. A CP rail worker said it is not fun removing the cub from between the car. "They growl, scratch and twist" making it very diffiuclt to remove.

A while back I saw some pics of a couple deer that hitched a ride on top of a box car.
