Just landed this old Tri-Ang loco sort of painted up to head a Bachmann Hogwarts Express. The tender is the Bachmann appropriate tender.
It's a high stepper (and loud) but with the huge and chunky flanges, it does not like turnouts or frogs.

But does it stay on the tracks? Having experimented a bit with some of the older stuff on the EZ track, it seems to be the tread width, not the flange, that is binding in those areas. I took a file an made the guide rails/frogs wider to good effect. Quite a nice repaint, looks great, and definitely has a place humming around Fogland.

Dave, when I repaired that I gauged the leading and trailing trucks. The drivers are narrow but re-gauging them was a big job and a bit dangerous since a puller is required and those wheels can fracture.
