An old LifeLike crawler crane, that I took apart and spray-painted a nice blue.

I 3D printed some Solair style motel chairs. They look a tad out of place next to the Plasticville Motel's chunky details, and will likely find their way to a different spot on the layout.

The chairs are a bit more delicate than Plasticville. Still, I think they match the era and culture of that sort of motel very well. I have childhood memories of chairs shaped like that and motels in that style. They're of the same time.

The style matches, I just find their daintiness jarring compared to the other details. There's an old motel about an hour from me where every room has a set of these chairs out front.

I love wihat did with that whole scene, Cheez; to my eye the delicateness of those splendid chairs counter balances the Plasticville chunk. Of course, as the artist, you get the final say, but I really like this. The soft pastel colors just get it, too. I try those shades and invariably come in too dark or too light.

Thanks Chops! The whole motel is painted with dollar store craft paint. Red paint was added to a bottle of white until the desired pink was achieved. Better to air on the light side I think.
