I finally acquired all 6 in one auction on ebay recently. They are complete and in mint condition. I photographed these in order by Bachamnns number system. These are different than Tyco's release of 76 cars. I know of no variations on the Bachmann issue where as Tyco has 4 variations on the Bi-centennial boxcars. Bachmann put events and facts on their cars of the 1776 series. Bachamnn did produce a GE 76 locomotive SCL road and a caboose.

First issue by Bachmann # 1281 Declaration of Independence.

Second issue - Bachmann # !282 Libert Bell

Third issue - Bachmann # 1283 George Washington

Fourth issue - Bachmann # 1284 Benjamin Franklin

Fifth issue - Bachmann # 1285 Thomas Jefferson

Sixth issue - bachmann #1286 Independence Hall

Yeah, that IS a nice score! I always wondered what the others looked like; thanks for sharing these.

I think there's a related set that features the Driving of the Golden Spike, and Lindberg's Flight. Not bicentennial per se, but the paint work is similar.
